What is the Bookish font?
This all started with a love for Jenson.
I know there’re hundreds of variations on that theme. But, that is where I began, several years ago. How far it came, as usual as I wandered through the vagaries of font design, is not unusual. I wanted the general feel of a favorite old font, but softer, easier, and more comfortable. I built these on the same vertical metrics as my Librum Publishing Group. However, this family is not part of that group. I used the metrics because that shows my current taste in fonts.
This family does work with the Librum group—but to be honest, I haven’t experimented enough to come up with a good companion. I suspect I’ll need to make another companion family. I may need make a non-modulated bold version also. But, that remains to be seen. I’m pleased with this.

Is Bookish a free to download font?
I'm afraid not. Bookish is not free to download. You will need to pay for it with your hard earn money.

Trust me when I say, don't waste your time searching for a free download of Bookish. You will not find a link anywhere.
It is highly unlikely that you'll be able to find Bookish for free. You might see a few websites that will say "Free Download" of Bookish font, but these are just attempts to get you to click on a link which will either take you to an ad landing page or you risk getting viruses on your computer. In the rare occasion that you do find a free download for Bookish remember that it's illegal to use a font if you didn't pay for it!
